irecupe’s Prevention & Recovery Scar™ is formulated to help with newly forming scars. In particular, those scars just formed as a result of accidental or surgical trauma (it will have no effect on old and mature scars). Our cream works on intact skin or closed scars and is not formulated for use on open wounds. It can be used on any surgically induced scar (laser surgery scars), or accidental traumatic scars (cuts and grazes) as well as on newly formed (immature and red) acne scars, chickenpox scars and burn scars.
2Can irecupe’s Prevention & Recovery Scar™ cream be used for open wounds?
No, our cream works on intact skin or closed scars and is not formulated for use on open wounds.

irecupe’s Prevention & Recovery Scar™ is suitable for use by anyone, male and female, young and old on intact skin and scars.
4What stage of skin scarring would benefit most from applying irecupe’s Prevention & Recovery Scar™ cream?
irecupe’s Prevention & Recovery Scar™ cream is suitable for newly formed. It will be of no benefit in helping old and mature scars. The best time to manage scars is either before they are formed or soon after when they are still young and immature (often appear red in color).

irecupe’s Prevention & Recovery Scar™ cream is a scar prevention and management cream that will try to address three main principles in scar management, firstly the combination of these ingredients helps to reduce scar redness in the zone of injury, and simultaneously improve healing and scar thickness appearance and finally increase hydration and moisturization of the scar tissue.
6What is irecupe’s Prevention & Recovery Scar™ cream made of?
The formulation created by our founder uses active ingredients derived from nature. Each ingredient has been carefully chosen for its value in addressing the main principles of scar management. 7Is it safe to use irecupe’s Prevention & Recovery Scar™ cream on sensitive skin?
We would recommend that if you consider yourself as having sensitive skin that you would initially test try a small amount in a non-conspicuous skin site before everyday use in conspicuous sites. You will find a list of ingredients here (click here to see the list of ingredients) and on the product label and packaging, so please check to make sure you are not allergic to any of the ingredients used in our cream.

Irecupe’s Prevention & Recovery Scar™ cream is a scar prevention and management cream that only works on newly formed scars. Even though our scar cream is safe to use on older scar types, we do not make any claims that our cream will have a noticeable effect on older mature scars.
9How long does it take for irecupe’s Prevention & Recovery Scar™ cream to start work?
The cream starts to work immediately upon application. The cream has to be applied consistently twice a day until the symptoms resolve and/or your scar appearance improves. However, results will vary from person to person as your skin type is unique to you, as is your unique ability to heal.
10Can irecupe’s Prevention & Recovery Scar™ cream make my scar disappear?
No. irecupe’s Prevention & Recovery Scar™ cream is a scar prevention and management cream that only helps to improve the appearance and symptoms of newly formed scars. To our knowledge there are no creams that can erase a scar and certainly we make no claims in making scars disappear.
11Can I use irecupe’s Prevention & Recovery Scar™ cream before and after an operation?
Irecupe’s Prevention & Recovery Scar™ cream can be applied to the anatomical site where you will be operated on. Please apply the cream twice a day for minimum of three days and a maximum of seven days before your operation date. Following your procedure, you can continue to apply the scar cream around the scar site/closed wound without disturbing the wound or the stiches if any are present. As soon as the wound is closed and/or the sutures are removed; you can continue to apply the cream on and around the scar (so called “the zone of injury”). So, if your wound has fully healed, you can then start to apply our cream directly onto your actual scar. irecupe’s Prevention & Recovery Scar™ cream is not recommended for use on an open wound and/or broken/damaged skin.
12How long should irecupe’s Prevention & Recovery Scar™ cream be used for?
The product should be applied either before (in the case of operative surgery) or soon after a scar is formed. The cream should be applied twice a day until either all symptoms resolve and/or scar appearance is significantly improved.
13What’s different about irecupe’s Prevention & Recovery Scar™ cream?
For the first time, there is a product which begins to prepare the skin bed for healing before the injury to the skin has occurred. Continued use of our cream post operatively results in the best possible outcome, resulting in improved symptoms and enhanced scar appearance.
14What should I do if my skins reacts to irecupe’s Prevention & Recovery Scar™ cream?
Stop using the product and wash/clean the affected area with plenty of water to avoid further irritation. If you experience continued discomfort and/or worsening symptoms; please seek urgent medical attention.
15What are the risks of using irecupe’s Prevention & Recovery Scar™ cream?
There are no known risks; other than if you are allergic (known allergies) to any of the listed ingredients.
